Women all over the world play video games, its something more common than most know and because of the stereotypes that surround gaming as a whole women are mostly told they can't be as good at it as men. However there are many women who prove his wrong every day with their incredible content online, as well as their impressive skills. We will briefly cover a few of their experiences here.
Valkyrae
Valkyrae, an extremely popular female streamer is a wonderful example of a strong woman in the video games and media industry that has found mountains of success!
Valkyrae was originally a member of the esports team "100 Thieves" and continues to be, however she has now become the Co-Owner of the company and team.
Now all of her success may seem like a wonderful thing, and it is. Despite this however is the struggles that she needed to endure to get here. Valkyrae talks on a channel back in 2023 about gender stereotypes that we will link here.
Lily Pichu
Lily Pichu is also a popular female streamer online however she has also found abundant success as a voice actor and musician!
Lily Pichu is also currently apart of a content house called "Offline TV" where they stream video games together as well as assorted challenges.
Lily Pichu is a wonderful example of a strong woman in the gaming industry and a great example of what women can accomplish in the media!
